The Quick Read
Novel Broads was first created by two women who liked books. At the time, that mostly meant romance novels of all types. Of course, life throws you curveballs, and our efforts ended sometime in 2015.
Now, 12 years later, we are breaking out the defibrillator and resurrecting this project. Our mission is the same: real readers, real opinions, and real conversations about the books we love… and even the ones on our DNF lists.
Who We Are
We are readers and book lovers, first and foremost, who like to talk books and share our opinions. We promise to give honest reviews that discuss what we liked and what we didn’t like without any snobbery, favoritism, or gatekeeping.
We are here to celebrate stories. Even if they are not our cup of tea, they may be someone else’s, and we respect that people have different tastes.
We are looking to build a community of book lovers, writers, and publishing professionals who can have healthy, robust conversations about the books we love.

What’s Coming Next
Our first goal is to populate our blog with a wide range of reviews showcasing the books that we love, ones that we are currently reading, and our future picks.
Next, we will be building our social media presence with posts, videos, and more bookish content across our platforms. From there, we plan to expand our community spaces through platforms like Discord, Reddit, Patreon, and an in-house forum right here on our website.
We also want Novel Broads to become a place where readers and writers connect. Our hope is to build a community of Novel Broad Beta Readers that authors can trust to provide the critical feedback they need.
Finally, we will be working on merch ideas throughout this process, creating unique, fun, and useful items to let your bookish flag fly!
